I never hire design related vendors (florist, lighting, stationery, etc) before fully understanding the vision of the day. It’s like building a house and choosing the lighting fixtures before knowing what the rest of the home looks like. Instead, I work with my clients to come up with the overall look and feel for the day and then identify the best team to implement the look. This keeps you from accidentally hiring a florist that specializes in over-the-top glamour when really you are looking for understated luxury. Truly think about what you want your day to look like and then and only then, hire the team that will help you stay cohesive to that look.
