Giving back is always such a weird thing to brag about. It feels disingenuous if you talk about it too much, but then if you don’t talk about it, people aren’t aware of many initiatives they may be interested in supporting. This being said, I waited a long time to share the images from my recent mission trip to Haiti because I was a bit worried about how it would be received. But here’s the scoop…it was life changing…Working in an industry where I am surrounded by beauty, abundance and love, it was an eye opening reminder that my world is the exception and not the rule. This being said, I wanted to share some images from my recent trip to this beautiful country where we helped to support the community of Simonette in painting buildings, planting trees and spoiling the children rotten…And on a more serious note, there are still thousands of people living in tents five years after the Earthquake and serious funds are needed to help rebuild ($6000 per one family home). If you have any interest in supporting the rebuilding of homes, the healthcare system or the education of this country’s amazing children, please click on over to Mission of Hope, as they are truly doing God’s work in supporting the restructuring of this country both physically and spiritually.
