Finding time to connect with your new spouse on the wedding day takes intentionality. Here are a few moments to plan in advance so you can truly enjoy the day together:
HAVE A FIRST LOOK
Not only does it help your timeline but it allows you to spend a few minutes together before everything gets crazy. Also, no one can calm your nerves like the one you love. Win/Win.
AFTER THE CEREMONY
Sneak away after the kiss for a moment alone. Enjoy a nibble or cocktail but more than anything, soak the moment in together. Even if it’s just five minutes, the time will be valuable.
AT DINNER
Pledge to enjoy at least one course together at dinner. You’ll be pulled a million directions once the celebration starts. Before doing your rounds during dinner, plan to sit and enjoy at least one part of the meal together.
DANCE TOGETHER
And not just your first dance. Insist on enjoying at least one additional dance (hopefully more) together through the night.
PLAN YOUR LATE NIGHT
Whether it’s laying in bed eating a slice of cake, enjoying a late night bath or talking the night away, plan some wind down time to take it all in at the end of the night.
