When working with a choreographer for your first dance, don’t forget to talk to your instructor about the dance floor size. They will likely have an opinion of what size is needed based on the dance being created. On the flip side, if you’re working with a venue that has limited space, that should be communicated to the instructor in advance so he or she can assist you in creating a dance that will work in the space given. Lastly, don’t forget to communicate to your planner, band or DJ, where to cue the music so you can start your first dance off on point.
