Whether you’re Bora Bora bound or enjoying a staycation, packing should not be a stressful task. When I went on my 18 day honeymoon to Hong Kong, Thailand and Bali I managed to pack it all up into one Tumi Carry-On bag. How? Follow these simple tips & you’ll be a packing pro quicker than you can say “I Do.”

#1: Pick A Color Scheme: Packing all khaki, tan and white, for example, makes packing & choosing outfits easy – everything goes with everything! There’s no need to load down your carry-on with a different dress for each night. Pack pieces that mix and match well with each other. Think outside the box when laying out different outfit options. Perhaps a dress would look cute with a light cardigan over it one night and a scarf the next. If you can’t pair up one piece more than three times, ditch it!

#2: Expand With Accessories: Once you have your basic outfits lined out, throw in accessories to really add punch to your looks. Pops of color and prints can really come in handy and jewelry and scarves do not take up much space in your bag.

#3: Ditch The Heels: You are going to want to explore, be comfortable and take your shoes from day to night in the blink of an eye. I’m sure your husband to be won’t mind if you give your heels a rest and opt for cute sandals and flats. Besides: Happy wife, happy life (right!?).

#4: Roll It Up: It sounds crazy but rolling your clothes rather than folding them truly takes up less space in your bag. Try rolling your pieces around the edges of the suitcase and then stuff the center with things like shoes, make-up and lingerie.

#5: All honeymooners should have one key tote for their entire trip and I highly recommend the Longchamp Tote. It is a perfect carry-on for the place (it fits a TON) and it can roll up to a clutch size if you need to store it. No need to pack several different handbags for your honeymoon – 1 great tote should do the trick!
