I loved so much about Leanna and Tom, but most of all, I love how fun was their number one priority. While they knew all of the wedding rules and were professional wedding guests by the time they got married, they wanted very little to do with most of them. They only cared that they had fun, their guests had fun and that overall they were able to truly connect with everyone in a playful way. In true form, they bucked tradition by choosing the rooftop at The Line hotel in Koreatown, Los Angeles for their wedding and celebration. Growing up in Los Angeles, Leanna knew she was supposed to marry at Beverly Hills Hotel or somewhere similar but she just didn’t feel that was her and Tom. So instead, they choose a place with just the right amount of edge, an amazing chef and a pretty basic space that we transformed into a pretty special celebration.
The design was inspired by Leanna’s home and incorporated Capiz, dark woods and moments of rich tones like hunter green, blacks, fuchsia, mustard and more. Guests were asked to dress in a very loose palette of the same and they obliged in the best possible way.
Kelly Brown captured the day and officially became one of my all time favorite wedding photographers at the same time. Check it out and come back soon for a little BTS of the process.
