You might or might not have noticed, but we are a little enamored with Bali here on the BHBlog. The land is filled with nature, and it sits side by side with a few of the most luxurious hotels in the world. Not only is Bali one of the most amazing wedding destinations ever, but it’s great for a romantic honeymoon as well.
I’ve been lucky enough to have visited Bali several times, and yet I still can’t get enough! Here are a few of my Bali Essentials…
What To Wear:
Bali is tropical, and hot! Make sure you pack lots of lightweight clothing – anything too heavy or tight will leave you in a pool of sweat. Bali is also a casual town, so it’s time to put away those high heels and slip into something a little more comfortable. Leave your jeans at home, ladies! It’s time to get out those sundresses!

Beauty Bag Essentials:
Not only is Bali hot, but it is humid too. This means that there are going to be a few mosquitoes around, and if you’re unlucky like me, you’re going to get bitten. A good bug repellent will help wonders, though. Humidity also wreaks havoc on my hair and makeup routine, if I use the same products that I use back home, my make up will slide off my slick skin in 30 minutes. So, I usually lighten up by ditching the foundation and coverup and using tinted sunscreen instead. For my hair, I use a spray on humidity blocker to combat frizz and flyaways.

Where To Stay:
There are so many amazing resorts in Bali, and there are a plethora of places to suit each budget. My favorite, however, has to be the Alila Villas Soori. It is nestled away from the touristy areas and is set amongst rice paddy fields – and instead of the traditional hotel rooms, this property is filled with private villas – complete with your own private infinity pool. The decor is modern and the spa is incredible. If you’re in Bali, this place is a must see.
Happy Travels!
